How it works

Keep your AI build on path.

AIAnchor is a guided build workflow and project memory layer for AI-assisted builders. It gives your project a Build Path, turns checkpoints into focused prompts, and helps you review what changed after each AI coding session.

Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, local models, or whatever comes next.

The problem

Why AI coding projects drift

AI tools are powerful but stateless. Every session starts from zero. Without structure, builds wander — past decisions get ignored, AI suggests what you already ruled out, and it is never clear what to work on next.

Without structure

  • Re-explain the project every session
  • AI ignores constraints set last week
  • No clear next action after a session ends
  • AI suggests approaches already ruled out
  • Decisions live in old chat history and get lost

With AIAnchor

  • Build Path shows what comes next, always
  • Focused prompts carry constraints automatically
  • AI responses reviewed and saved as memories
  • Project stays on track across every session
  • Outcomes feed directly into the next checkpoint

The workflow

A repeating loop, checkpoint by checkpoint

AIAnchor replaces the blank-slate session model with a guided loop. Every iteration makes the project cleaner, sharper, and easier to continue.

01

Start with a Build Path

Anchor your project by defining phases and checkpoints. The Build Path is the spine of the project — AIAnchor always knows which phase is active and which checkpoint is next. You can set one up from scratch or let AIAnchor generate one from your project description.

02

Work the current checkpoint

The active checkpoint becomes the next action. Click Start Working and AIAnchor generates a focused prompt that combines the checkpoint goal, your active constraints, current phase context, and project memories. No blank slate. No re-explaining.

03

Copy the prompt and run it in your AI tool

Use the AI tool you already prefer — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, a local model, or anything else. Copy the generated prompt, run it, get a response. AIAnchor does not call any AI itself — you stay in control of which tools you use and what you pay for.

04

Paste the response back

Bring the full AI response back into AIAnchor. It parses the response and surfaces memory suggestions, Build Path updates, risks, and next actions for you to review. Nothing is auto-saved — every suggestion requires your approval before it becomes part of the project record.

05

Review memories, risks, and updates

AIAnchor presents extracted memories, flagged risks, and proposed Build Path changes clearly. Accept, edit, or skip each one. Accepted memories are stored and will inform every future prompt. Accepted Build Path updates advance or adjust the project roadmap.

06

Choose your outcome

Every session has an outcome. Mark the checkpoint done and move to the next one. Run another pass if the response needs improvement. Fix something that broke. Test before moving on. Wrap up with a session summary. Or signal a direction change — AIAnchor walks you through each path.

07

Continue to the next checkpoint

The Build Path advances. The next checkpoint becomes the active focus. The loop repeats — always with fresh context, always on path, always building on what came before.

AIAnchor tells you what to do next.

Static context file

CLAUDE.md / AI context files

  • Stores what the AI should know
  • Set it and forget it
  • Does not change between sessions
  • Does not know what to do next
  • Does not review AI responses

Useful as a starting point. Not enough on its own.

Guided workflow

AIAnchor

  • Guides what to do next, not just what to know
  • Updates after every AI session
  • Turns checkpoints into focused prompts
  • Reviews AI responses and surfaces updates
  • Keeps project memory current and actionable

AIAnchor can export a fresh context file anytime — including Build Path, active constraints, and session learnings. Generate it; paste it into your AI tool.

Context files like CLAUDE.md are a useful reference, but they are static. AIAnchor generates them for you on demand — and then keeps guiding what to do next after each session.

What's inside

Built for AI-assisted builders who want structure without a project manager.

Build Path

Turn your project into phases and checkpoints. The Build Path is always visible — AIAnchor knows what's current, what's next, and what's done.

Guided prompts

Start Working generates a focused prompt from the current checkpoint, active constraints, and project memory. Copy it into any AI tool.

Response review

Paste your AI response back and review suggested memories, risks, and Build Path updates — before anything is saved.

Project memories

Save durable decisions, constraints, bug lessons, and do-not-change rules that survive across every AI coding session.

Memory Inbox

Queue AI-suggested memories for review at your own pace. No forced interruptions in the middle of a build.

AI Tool Bridge

Let external AI tools send suggestions into AIAnchor for review. Works with any tool that can produce structured output.

Rule-based context export

Generate clean context for any AI tool you use. Deterministic, not black-box — you always know exactly what AI will see.

Memory Health

As projects evolve, memories go stale. Review and retire old entries so your context stays sharp and signal stays high.

Works with the AI tools you already use

AIAnchor does not replace your AI coding tool — it works alongside it. Generate a prompt, run it in your AI tool, paste the response back. Works with anything that reads and produces text.
